Gessenbach (Gera)

The Gessenbach is an eastern and orographic right-hand tributary of the White Elster district Greiz in Thuringia. Named after him is the Gessental.

The Gessenbach originates northeast of Raitzhain, eastern district of Ronneburg. General

By 1968 the railway line Goessnitz -Gera led by the Gessental. After the route was moved to the north and partially obscured by overburden from the mining of Wismut.

The eastern end of the heavily battered from uranium mining Gessental is today in the New Landscape Ronneburg, the part of the Federal Garden Show 2007 was included. Gessentalradweg

Pollution
