Gharbia Governorate

Al- Gharbiyya (Arabic محافظة الغربية, DMG Muhafazat al - Garbiya, German " the West ", also Gharbia ) is a governorate in Egypt with 4,010,298 inhabitants, situated in the center of the Nile Delta.

It is bordered to the north by the province of Kafr al- Sheikh, on the east by the province ad Daqahliyya, to the south by the Government al - Minufiyya and to the west by the province al - Buhaira. The administrative center is Tanta.
