Gianluca Rocchi

Gianluca Rocchi ( born August 25, 1973 in Florence) is an Italian football referee.

Rocchi referee began his career in professional football in 2000 in the C series; its first use in Serie A was on the final day of the season 2003 /04 the 2-1 win against U.S. Lecce Reggina Calcio on 16 May 2004. The following season, he came to three, in the season 2005/06 eleven missions. In the following two seasons, he whistled regular games of the series A, a total of 38, including two derbies between Juventus FC and Torino, as well as between Lazio and AS Roma. in the 2007/ 08 season he also led the prestige duel between Juventus and Inter Milan. So far, he comes to a total of 56 appearances in Serie A (as of 19 October 2008)

Since early 2008, Rocchi whistles and international meetings; he was at the U-19 and U-21 European Championships in use in qualifying matches. He also led two games of the UEFA Cup qualification as well as in the first round of the competition the 1-0 home win against VfL Wolfsburg Rapid Bucharest. In addition, he was referee of the 3:1 victory of FC Schalke 04 against Paris Saint- Germain in the UEFA Cup 2008/ 09 on 23 October 2008. In the Champions League 2010/11 he worked as a referee again for the first batch of Schalke recognized in the group stage against Benfica. On September 17, 2013 Rocchi directed the first encounter in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League 2013/14 FC Bayern Munich against CSKA Moscow.

In summer 2012 he accompanied only Nicola Rizzoli as a goal judge for the European Championships and then stood at Olympia in London on the pitch.
