Giannis Antetokounmpo
Giannis Adetokounbo (Greek Γιάννης Αντετοκούνμπο, also transcribed Giannis Antetokounmpo, * 6 December 1994 in Athens, Greece) is a Greek professional basketball player who plays at a height of 2.06 m at the small forward and shooting guard positions. He is currently with the Milwaukee Bucks under contract and is currently the youngest player in the North American professional league NBA.
Career
Adetokounbo began his career in the youth divisions of Filathlitikos Zografos, a suburb of Athens. In 2012 he was appointed to the first team and made his debut for the 2012-2013 season in the A2 Ethniki, the second- highest division of Greece. In December 2012, he signed after the completion of his majority a four -year contract with Spanish first division club CAI Zaragoza. This included a release clause that allowed the player to be able to leave the club early, if an offer would be from a club from the ULEB Euro League or the NBA. By the end of the season Adetokounbo decided to stay with Filathlitikos. Together with his older brother Athanasios he was among the top performers of the club and missed promotion to the A1 Ethniki only the narrowest of margins on the final day of the season.
On July 30, 2013 Adetokounbo was elected to 15th position in the NBA Drafts by the Milwaukee Bucks. This was after Predrag Stojakovic (1996 14 th position ), the highest ranking for a player with Greek and the highest for any of the actors who was born in Greece.
National
Antetokounmpo participated with the U20 national team of Greece in the European Championship 2013 in Estonia, where he could reach the fifth place. With 7.6 rebounds and 1.4 blocked throws per game he completed two categories as the best player from his team.

Private
Although Adetokounbo was born to Nigerian parents in Greece, he is not in possession of the Nigerian nationality. The Greek nationality received up to this time officially stateless Adetokounbo on 9 May 2013.
Adetokounbo has another four siblings, of which Francis and Athanasios are older and Konstantinos and Alexandros younger. Francis played as a professional football player in Nigeria. Thanasis, with Giannis played together at Filathlitikos, is also a professional basketball player and currently plays in the Delaware 87ers in the NBA D- League. Konstantinos plays since the 2013-2014 season when Mr. selection of Filathlitikos. All five brothers played or still play in Filathlitikos.
