Giannis Ragousis

Giannis Ragousis (Greek Γιάννης Ραγκούσης, born December 11, 1965) is a Greek politician of the PASOK. In the government of Prime Minister George Papandreou, he was from October 2009 Minister of the Interior, Decentralisation and E -government. From June 17, 2011 to 11 November 2011 he was the Minister of Transport.

Giannis Ragousis studied economics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, after his graduation, he still earned a diploma from the University of Sussex.

He held various party posts. From 2002 to 2007 he was mayor of the Cycladic island of Paros, until he was first elected in the 2007 elections to parliament.
