Gintaras Staučė

Gintaras Staučė ( born December 24, 1969 in Alytus ) is a retired Lithuanian football Goalkeeper.

Career

Clubs

Staučė began his career in his homeland with FBK Kaunas, but changed already as a 17 -year-old Spartak Moscow. From there we went in 1994 in Turkey. There he played one year for Galatasaray SK Karşıyaka and Sariyer before he moved to the Bundesliga MSV Duisburg in 1997. After he conquered the 1998 regular place and with the Bundesliga MSV was eighth twice, followed by 2000, the relegation to the second division. He remained there for the club receive an additional year to search from 2001 his luck in Greece. Here he was one season at Akratitos Ano Liosia, Fostiras Athens Kallithea FC under contract. In 2004 he went to Latvia for FK Jurmala, where he guarded the gate to 2007.

National

Staučė represented his country internationally. Between 1992 and 2004, he was 67 times for Lithuania in the gate, including the three games he played on 29 and 31 July 1994 in Vilnius on 21 April 1998 in Liepāja to the Baltikummeisterschaft.
