Giuseppe Patroni Griffi

Giuseppe Patroni Griffi ( born February 27, 1921 in Naples, † 15 December 2005 in Rome ) was an Italian film director and writer.

Life

Patrini Griffi was successful as an author of novels such as " Scende giù by Toledo " and " Gli occhi giovani " and plays like " D' amore si muore ", " Anima nera " and " Metti una sera a cena ".

Since 1952, he also wrote numerous screenplays for major feature films by Francesco Rosi, Roberto Rossellini, Luchino Visconti and Valerio Zurlini after he had begun with two light musical comedies for Domenico Paolella. For seven films, including a television work by Alberto Moravia, he stood as a director behind the camera. His first work, in 1982, resulting Il mare, presented for that time daring relationship between his two protagonists ( a homosexual and one child). Several of his films were made according to its own literary models.
