Gmina Stare Kurowo

Stare Kurowo ( German Altkarbe or Alt Karbe ) is a village with a seat of a rural community in the powiat Strzelce - Drezdenecki ( circle peace (Neumark ) Driesen ) in the Polish Lubusz Voivodeship.

Geographical location

Stare Kurowo located at the two provincial roads 155 ( Pławin (width Werder ) - Stare Kurowo ) and 156 ( Lipiany ( Lippehne ) - Barlinek ( Berlinchen ) - Strzelce Krajeńskie (peace (Neumark ) ) - Drezdenko ( Driesen ) ).

Stare Kurowo is a railway station on the national railway line 203 of Kostrzyn nad Odra ( Kuestrin ) about Gorzow Wielkopolski ( Landsberg ad Warta ) to Tczew ( Dirschau ), the former Prussian Eastern Railway route from Berlin to Königsberg ( Prussia).

Village Stare Kurowo ( Altkarbe )

History

Altkarbe was first mentioned in 1317 and presents itself since the end of the 19th century as a village with a respectable inhabitants. In 1910, here in 1713 people were registered, the number 1925 on 1925, 1933 2879 and 1939 amounted to 3013. By 1939 the place belonged to the governmental district of the Prussian province of Brandenburg Frankfurt. Between 1939 and 1945 it was part of the administrative district border Posen- West Prussia, Pomerania.

Before 1945, formed Altkarbe with communities oat meadow (today Polish: Łącznica ) and Hohenkarzig ( Hardzko ) the official and the civil registry district Altkarbe. The district court area was peace (Neumark ) ( Strzelce Krajeńskie ).

Since 1945 is the renamed Stare Kurowo place part and also seat of the gmina in powiat Strzelce - Drezdenecki in the Lubusz Voivodeship ( to 1998 Voivodeship Landsberg).

Church

The church was built in the Gothic Revival style was built in 1877 as a Protestant church. Since 1947 it is a Catholic church, is dedicated to Piotr i Paweł the Apostles ( Peter and Paul ).

By 1945 starlings Kurowo was a place in the parish Hohenkarzig (now Polish: Garzdko ) in the Protestant Church of the Old Prussian Union. Since 1945, the compound is to Gardzko remained as a Catholic parish in the deanery in the Diocese of Green Mountain Strzelce Krajeńskie -Landsberg.

Gmina Stare Kurowo

General

The rural municipality Stare Kurowo covers an area of ​​77.88 km ². It counts 4,174 inhabitants, of whom lived more than half in the central village Stare Kurowo. The gmina is located in the northeast of the Lubusz Voivodeship, and its south- eastern boundary of the municipality is the way of the Notec ( networks).

Importantly for the Gmina Stare Kurowo is the connection to the railway line from Kostrzyn nad Odra ( Kuestrin ) to Tczew ( Dirschau ).

Of the three provincial roads (DW) that run through the Gmina Stare Kurowo, the DW 156 is the most important. It combines Lipiany ( Lippehne ) with Drezdenko ( Driesen ) and is also the band of Gmina to which the other two provincial roads, the DW 154 of Trzebicz ( Trebitsch ) coming, and the DW 155, within the community, in the district Pławin (width Werder ) begins and ends.
