Go Let It Out

February 7, 2000

Go Let It Out is a song by British rock band Oasis Britpop, which was written by Noel Gallagher. It was the first single from their album Standing on the Shoulder of Giants and was released before its publication on 7 February 2000. In the UK charts, it reached the first place.

The content of the song is similar to the 1995 published song Roll with it. The listener is directly addressed and prompted to devote his life and determine it himself. [Note 1] The song begins with a drum sample from Johnny Jenkins cover of Dr. John's I Walk on Gilded Splinters.

Further, the title can be interpreted as a reference to a passage of the Beatles song Hey Jew, which states " so let it out and let it in ". [Note 2] In an interview Noel Gallagher described the song Go Let It Out is a modern song of the Beatles.
