Gold Cobra (English for " Golden Cobra " ) is the sixth studio album ( the EP from 2005 included) of the U.S. nu-metal band Limp Bizkit. It was released in June 2011 on Interscope Records. It is the first recorded music with new songs since 2005 and the first album with the original line since Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water from the year 2000.
Formation
The band recorded for The Unquestionable Truth ( Part 1) a time-out, during which Fred Durst operated as a film director. Wes Borland was too busy with other musical projects. Since about 2008, there were messages that the band would come back together and record a new album. This was confirmed in February 2009. Also, the re-entry by Wes Borland was confirmed. The band also played a tour together. In a press release announced that the band was " being disgusted and bored " as the state of the current music scene from one another:
" We decided we were more disgusted and bored with the state of heavy popular music than we were with eachother. Regardless of where our separate paths have taken us, we Recognize there is a powerful and unique energy with this Particular group of people we have not found anywhere else. This is why Limp Bizkit is back. "
The production of the album took about one and a half years to complete. The album's title comes from Borland. He was chosen because it matched the style of music in the opinion of the band, but has no special meaning.

Reception
On the website Metal.de the reviewer praised the production of the " strong" album. Limiting it said: "Gold Cobra will know how to delight the fans of Limp Bizkit, no question. Previously, anyone who could do anything with the Mucke the Amis, the is not helped with Gold Cobra. " Eight out of ten points were awarded.
Tour
The Gold Cobra tour is planned from July 2010 to August 2011 and is divided into 5 sections Tour. The first part focused venues in North America (July-August 2010). The second and fourth part will find place in Europe (August 2010 - October 2010 and June-July 2011). The third and fifth part to be performed in Latin America ( October-November 2010 and July - August 2011 ). Of the planned 56 shows, however, were already canceled 39 because Fred Durst possibly sustain a neck injury.
