Golden Baseball League

The Golden Baseball League is an independent professional baseball league in North America, based in San Ramon, California. Geographically, there are teams on the west coast of the continent, in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.

Main sponsor of the league is the company Safeway Inc., the third largest retailer in the United States. 2010 was awarded the league a lot of attention in the media, as for the first time a player from Japan was committed in an American first team. The Chico Outlaws took the Knuckleballerin Eri Yoshida under contract. Yoshida, who was the first woman in a selected Entry Draft in Japanese baseball, trying to suggest with appropriate services for a major league team.
