Górażdże

Goradze, Polish Górażdże, is a town in Upper Silesia. Goradze located in the municipality Gogolin in Krapkowicki powiat ( county Krappitz ) in the Polish Opole Voivodeship.

Geographical Location

Goradze is located six kilometers north of the parish seat Gogolin, nine kilometers north-east of the county town of Krapkowice ( Krappitz ) and 16 kilometers south of the Opole voivodship ( Opole ).

History

The town was first mentioned in 1297 as " Gorazdz ". 1845 running at Goradze railway Opole - Kędzierzyn was opened in Goradze has a breakpoint.

In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921 157 voters voted to remain in Germany and 117 for Poland, in Gutsbezirk Goradze 28 people voted for Germany and 32 for Poland .. Goradze remained with the German Reich. 1933 lived 561 inhabitants in the village. On September 26, 1935, the place in Waldstein has been renamed. 1939, the place had 634 inhabitants. By 1945, the place was in the district of Great Strehlitz.

In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration and renamed Górażdże and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950, the city came to Opole Voivodeship. From 1984 to 1989 the church was built. In 1999 the place to powiat Krapkowicki. On 30 April 2010, the City also received the official German place names Goradze.
