Zakrzów, Krapkowice County

Sakrau, Polish Zakrzów, is a town in Upper Silesia. Sakrau located in the municipality Gogolin in powiat Krapkowicki in Polish Opole Voivodeship.

History

The town was first mentioned in 1398 as Zackraw.

In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921 voted 53 voters to remain in Germany and 101 for Poland; in Gutsbezirk voted 120 for Germany and 90 for Poland. Sakrau remained with the German Reich. 1933 lived 668 inhabitants in the village. 1939, the place had 685 inhabitants. By 1945, the place was in the district of Great Strehlitz.

In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration and renamed Zakrzów and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950, the place for Opole Voivodeship and 1999 came to the powiat Krapkowicki. On 30 April 2010, the City also received the official German place names Sakrau.
