Graham Bonnet

Graham Bonnet ( born December 23, 1947 in Skegness ) is a British hard rock singer, best known for his work with Ritchie Blackmore's band Rainbow.

Life and career

Bonnet started his musical career in the late 1960s with the band The Marbles. The first solo album of the singer appeared in 1977 and was to be the reason to can join Ritchie Blackmore's band Rainbow.

In 1983 Bonnet formed his own hard rock band Alcatrazz, in which, inter alia, the Mike Varney -sponsored Young Swedish guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen was a member. With the latter, the first album of the band was created under the title No Parole From Rock'N'Roll, which gained a lot of attention, especially in the United States. Two years later, Malmsteen was replaced by Steve Vai, which should also go to great prominence.

Graham Bonnet is known for his penchant for guitar virtuoso, he worked out with the aforementioned guitarists with other well-known rock guitarists such as Michael Schenker, Chris Impellitteri and many other rock musicians.

As an avowed James Dean fan Bonnet fell in the 1980s on the outside thereby that he - contrary to all the clichés of the hard rock scene - always wore a short haircut.
