Impellitteri
Impellitteri is a Established in 1987, American heavy metal band. The name is derived from the founder and guitarist Chris Impellitteri the group. He is also the only constant member of the group. The band is known and particularly successful in Japan, while it is hardly known in Europe.
Band History
Chris Impellitteri formed the group named after him in 1987, after he had previously released a demo with instrumental pieces. The young group joined to Rob Rock, who has worked on an EP in 1987, but already the debut album Stand in Line by Graham Bonnet was replaced. Rob Rock has over the years become one of the most used for sessions singer and collaborated among others with Avantasia and Axel Rudi Pell. Already at this time, it became obvious that Impellitteri is mainly the group of guitarist and similar to Yngwie Malmsteen, Axel Rudi Pell or the rest of the Rainbow line-up is replaceable. So it always came back to line-up changes, a constant line-up never stayed together more than one album.
1992 came again to Rob Rock Impellitteri and remained until the album Crunch ( 2000), singer of the group. After a brief interlude with Graham Bonnet (System X) and Curtis Skelton ( 2002-2008 ), returned to Rock 2009 for the current album Wicked Maiden back.
The group released a total of nine studio albums, three EPs and several live albums. The line-up included over the years, well-known musicians such as bassist Chuck Wright (including Quiet Riot and Blackthorne ) and Dave Spitz ( among others, Black Sabbath ), the drummer Stet Howland (including WASP ) and Ken Mary (including Alice Cooper, Accept and Chastain ) and keyboardist Claude Schnell ( Dio ).
Music style
Similar to most solo guitarists like Malmsteen, Pell and Blackmore made use Chris Impellitteri of hard rock and power metal style, primarily to demonstrate some of his numerous guitar solos.
