Life

Xenija Alexandrovna Romanova was the fourth of six children of Tsar Alexander III. and his wife Maria Feodorovna, born in Anitschkow Palace in Saint Petersburg.

With her ​​siblings, Nicholas II, Georgi, Mikhail and Olga, she experienced a sheltered childhood in the imperial court in St. Petersburg. The Tsar placed great emphasis on an intimate family life. But his father died early, and her brother Nicholas followed him on the throne.
