The Grand Ridge Road is a tourist road in southern Gippsland in the south of the Australian state of Victoria. It combines the Warragul - Korumburra Road ( C425 ) southwest of Seaview with the Hyland Highway ( C482 ) northeast of Carrajung. It follows the road, as their name suggests, the crest of the Strzelecki Mountains.

Course

Approx. 3 km southwest of the settlement Seaview branches off the Grand Ridge Road from the Warragul - Korumburra Road ( C425 ) to the northeast. After the Mount Worth State Park, just east of Seaview, hits the road a south-easterly direction and crosses the Tarwin River West Branch. In Mirboo North to cross the Strzelecki Highway ( B460 ), and continues on its way to the southeast. A little later she turns east and reaches about 25 km to the Tarra Bulga National Park -.

At the northern border of the national park along the Grand Ridge Road runs through the town Balook and further to the northeast. Approx. 3 km northeast of the settlement Carrajung she meets the Hyland Highway ( C482 ) and ends.

Tourist meaning and road conditions

The popular tourist areas of road passes through interesting landscapes from afar farmland to dense forests. Especially the Mount Worth State Park in the western part of the Grand Ridge Road and the Tarra Bulga National Park, in the eastern part of the road are recommended.

The road is only partially fixed and relatively narrow. Clean paved sections alternate with unpaved gravel road and even washboard slopes from.

Numbering

The road is shown on its entire length as a tourist route 93. The eastern stretch from the Tarra Bulga National Park, carries the additional designation C484.
