The Grand River is a 158 km long tributary of Lake Erie on the south bank in the northwestern U.S. state of Ohio.

The Grand River along with its tributaries drains a total of 1844 km ², located in the catchment area of Lake Erie. The river originates 5 km south of the town of Middlefield in southeastern Geauga County, initially flows southeast into Trumbull County and is aimed at West Farmington north to the Ashtabula County. In Austinburg of the Grand River turns to the west in the Lake County and flows at Fairport Harbor in Lake Erie.

On 28 July 2006, the Grand River and its tributaries flooded their banks and caused considerable flood damage in Lake and Ashtabula County. The river reached a peak height of 3.35 m above normal. In the city of Painesville fell on 27 and 28 July 2006, more than 275 mm of rain, and the counties Lake, Geauga and Ashtabula were declared a disaster area. More than 600 people had to be evacuated.
