Greenlandic general election, 2005

The parliamentary election in Greenland in 2005 was held on November 15. Vacant were all 31 seats in Inatsisartut or county council, the Greenland Parliament. There were a total of five parties and independent candidates also.

Note: The percent of the official election statistics do not refer to such common in Germany to the sum of the valid votes, but on the sum of all votes, ie including empty and invalid ballots.

When choosing won mainly Demokraatit votes. Also Siumut could easily benefit from the losses of the other three parties. Siumut, Inuit Ataqatigiit and Atassut formed after the elections, a coalition government with a large parliamentary majority. As prime minister, Hans Enoksen ( Siumut ) was confirmed in office.
