Grzegorz Rosiński

Grzegorz Rosiński ( born August 3, 1941 in Stalowa Wola, Poland) is a Polish comic artist, painter and printmaker. He became known primarily through the comic series Thorgal, which, as also was the great power of the small Schninkel in cooperation with the Belgian writer Jean Van Hamme. The texts of shares subscribed by Rosiński series Hans come from André -Paul Duchateau.

His first comics published Rosiński at the age of 16 years. Later he graduated from the School of Fine Arts ( Liceum Sztuk Plastycznych ) and the Academy of Fine Arts ( Academy of Fine Pieknych ) in Warsaw. In 1968 Rosiński started his first two comic series, Kpt Kpt Zloss Zbik and he drew up in 1972. Due to its involvement in the Polish comic magazines Alfa and relaxation, the Belgian publisher Lombard became aware of Rosiński and in 1977 the amount subscribed under the pseudonym Rosek comic La Fantastique Croisière appeared in the magazine Spirou. In the same year Rosińskis change to Tintin, for which he created the fantasy series Thorgal and Hans. In 1982, his move was followed by Belgium. Since 1992 Rosiński lives in Switzerland in the Valais community Mollens.

For the albums of the series Thorgal is Rosiński who takes over in his drawings even inking and lettering, has been awarded several international prizes. For his artistic oeuvre, he was honored in September 2006 with the high Order of Polonia Restituta of Poland.

In 2010 he was awarded the Belgian Order of Leopold II.
