Guadalupe Marín

María Guadalupe Preciado Marín ( born October 16, 1895 in Ciudad Guzmán, Jalisco, † February 7, 1983 in Mexico City) was a Mexican muse, model and writer.

Life

María Guadalupe Preciado Marín, called magnifier, came from a bourgeois family. In 1903 the family moved to Guadalajara, where she received extensive training. 1922 Guadalupe Marín married in the church of San Miguel in Guadalajara the painter Diego Rivera ( 1886-1957 ). From this marriage, which by all accounts was turbulent, were born two daughters: Ruth and Guadalupe.

After his trip to Russia Rivera left his wife and their daughters - one year later he married his third wife, the painter Frida Kahlo ( 1907-1954 ). After an initial rivalry, the two women were girlfriends - Guadalupe Marín said to have Frida even taught cooking, especially Rivera's favorite foods. Later, Guadalupe Marín married second husband, the poet Jorge Cuesta ( 1903-1942 ).
