Guillaume Latendresse

Guillaume Latendresse ( born May 24, 1987 in Sainte -Catherine, Quebec ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player.

Career

Guillaume Latendresse began his career as a hockey player with the Drummondville Voltigeurs, for which he was active from 2003 to 2006 in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. During this time he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2005 in the second round than a total of 45 players from the Montreal Canadiens.

For the Canadiens, he was in the 2006/07 season his debut in the National Hockey League and plays up in the season 2008/ 09 on a regular basis for this. On November 23, 2009, he was transferred in exchange for Benoit Pouliot to the Minnesota Wild. In the game he won a regular place and immediately shot up to the end of the season 2009/10 in 55 games 25 goals, had 12 assists and collected 37 points.

Beginning of July 2012 Latendresse signed as a free agent a one-year contract with the Ottawa Senators. After he had taken part in the training camp of the Phoenix Coyotes, but there could not sign a contract, he moved in early October 2013 at the ZSC Lions, signed there a contract until the end of the 2013/14 season, which was dissolved at the end of 2013.

Internationally

For Canada Latendresse took part in the U18 World Youth Championship in 2005, and the Under-20 Junior World Cup in 2006 in part.
