Gwydir Shire

Gwydir located on the northeast border of the state Queensland about 580 km north of the city of Sydney and 500 km south-east of Brisbane. The area includes 68 districts and towns, including Bingara, Upper Bingara, Cobbadah, Coolatai, Crooble, Croppa Creek, Elcombe, Dinoga, Gineroi, Gravesend, Gulf Creek, Horton Valley, Gravesend, Mosquito Creek, North Star, Warialda, Warialda Rail and Yallaroi. The seat of the Shire Council is located in Bingara in the southern half of the LGA, where about 1,200 inhabitants.

Management

The Gwydir Shire Council has nine members, who are elected by the residents of the LGA. Gwydir is not divided into districts. From the circle of Councillor also the Mayor ( Mayor ) of the Council recruited.
