Gymnastics at the 1906 Intercalated Games

At the 1906 Summer Olympics in Athens four competitions were held in gymnastics including Tauhangeln. They were held in the open air in Kallimarmaro Stadium.

Individual all-around (5 exercises)

The athletes had to complete (excluding rolls ) a 3-minute freestyle on each horizontal bar, parallel bars and rings, and each 3 high long jumps and leaps over the horse along.

Individual all-around (6 exercises)

The six- fight has been disputed by the participants who had completed all five individual events of the pentathlon. As a sixth exercise a jump (3 trials) on the pommel horse was required across whose rating points were added to the points already achieved in the pentathlon.

Gymnastics team

Each team consisted of any number of gymnasts. The smallest team (Hungary ) had 8 Turner, the largest team (Norway ) had 21 Turner at the start. Each team gymnastics with all the athletes at the same time a 25 -minute free program on any device and on the ground.

Tauhangeln

At the 1906 Summer Olympics in Athens, a competition was held in Tauhangeln. The Tauhangeln was embedded according to the official program in the parent sport of athletics.

Over hand ( climbing ) was performed on a 10 m long rope, which was attached to a pole with bracket. The start was from sitting on the floor. The Greek Kozanitas was set at equal times with the second to third place, because he had illegally touched during Hangelns with the legs of the mast.
