Habib Bellaïd

Habib Mohamed Bellaïd (Arabic حبيب بلعيد, DMG Habib Bil ʿ aid; born March 28, 1986 in Bobigny ) is a French- Algerian football player.

Childhood

Habib Bellaïd came as the son of an Algerian mother and a Tunisian father in 1986 in the Paris suburb of Bobigny to the world. He also grew up on the outskirts of Paris.

Career

Association

From 2005 to 2008 he played for Racing Strasbourg. For the 2008/2009 season Bellaïd changed after the descent of his team for a transfer fee of 2.5 million euros to the German Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt, where until 2012 he was awarded a contract and should replace Sotirios Kyrgiakos defender. After he had come under coach Friedhelm glitter despite rather moderate performance in 22 appearances in the Bundesliga, he was no longer used under Funkels successor Michael Skibbe at the beginning of the season 2009/2010.

September 1, 2009 Habib Bellaïd was initially loaned back to Racing Strasbourg. There he impressed and drew attention to himself in Ligue 2. Therefore he moved in January 2010, also on loan until the end of the season to the then first division side U.S. Boulogne. With the club from Boulogne -sur -Mer he dismounted from the Ligue 1. Eintracht Frankfurt gave him on 31 August 2010, this time for a year at the French second division side Club Sportif Sedan Ardennes (CS Sedan).

After the end of the lending agreement on 30 June 2011 Bellaïd returned to the relegated just to the 2nd Bundesliga Eintracht Frankfurt back, but played no role under coach Armin Veh in the first team: He was only loaded once. With the start of the 2012/2013 season, when his contract had expired, he signed with CS Sedan.

After the relegation of CS Sedan in the CFA 2 (group B ) at the end of the season 2012/2013 Bellaïd changed in the summer of 2013 to Algerian Erstligaclub MC Alger, who is trained by the Swiss Alain Geiger.

National

Bellaïd played 16 times for the U- 21 team of France. With this, he also played in qualifying for the U -21 Football Championship in 2009. However, it failed in the play- offs at the U - 21 team in Germany. After a 1-1 draw in the first leg in Magdeburg you failed in the second leg at the last minute with 0:1. In 2010 he decided in future to play for Algeria and also took equal part in the 2010 World Cup.
