HÃ¥kan Nordin

Leif Håkan Nordin ( born January 15, 1961 in Mora ) is a retired Swedish professional ice hockey player.

Career

Håkan Nordin began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of the Mora IK, for the first team, he was from 1977 to 1980 in Division 1, the Swedish second division, active. For the 1980/81 season the defender moved to Färjestad BK of the Elitserien, with whom he won the Swedish championship title at first attempt. He could repeat with the Färjestad BK for the seasons 1985/86 and 1987/88 this success. For the 1988/89 season, the links to the Västra Frölunda HC Sagittarius joined from the Division 1, with which he ascended immediately at the end of the season in the Elitserien. Most recently, he ran in the 1992/93 season in the second division Arvika HC before he ended his career at the age of 32 years.

Internationally

For Sweden Nordin took at junior level at the U18 European Junior Championships in 1979 and the U20 World Junior Championships in 1980 and 1981 in part. In the 1980 U20 World Championships he won the bronze at the 1981 U20 World Championship gold medal with his team. In the 1981 U20 World Cup, he was also best assist provider of the tournament, in the All-Star team, he was elected.

In the senior level, he stood in the squad of his country at the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo, where he won the bronze medal with Sweden.
