Han Herred

Han Herred (also Hanherred ) is a Harde (Danish: Odsherred ) in North West Jutland peninsula between Thy and Vendsyssel.

Originally Harde belonged to Thysyssel and came to Aalborghus Len later. In 1662 there was a merger with the Harden in Vendsyssel for Åstrup, Sejlstrup, Børglum office. 1793 Han Herred was finally divided. The western part became the Harde Vester Han Herred ( to Thisted Office) and the eastern to Øster Han Herred ( to Hjørring Office). In Denmark, the two parts of the ancient Han Herred be summarized as Hanherrederne (English about: the Hanharden ) refers. With the Danish municipal reform to April 1, 1970, these areas were the newly formed North Amt slammed. Since 2007 the entire area of the historic Han Herred is part of the administrative region of Nordjylland. It roughly corresponds to the territory of the commune Jammerbugt.
