Jammerbugt Municipality

Since 1 January 2007 there is a Jammerbugt municipality as a result of local government reform in Jutland. It consists of the former municipalities: Brovst, Fjerritslev, Pandrup and Aabybro. This new municipality covers an area of ​​863.90 km ² and has a total population of 38 597 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013).

It is part of Region Nordjylland ( North Jutland region ). The seat of government is in Aabybro. The name of the village derives from the Jammerbucht.
