Hanmer Springs

Hanmer Springs is a town in the Canterbury region of the South Island of New Zealand. It is the largest settlement of the Hurunui District that are not located on the coast, and has a well-known spa.

The village is 65 kilometers southwest of Kaikoura, 10 kilometers north of State Highway 7, on the route from Christchurch to the West Coast via Lewis Pass.

Hanmer Springs is every season a popular tourist destination. In the warm months, the area is ideal for hiking, in the cold winter months to two ski resorts for winter sports.
