Hannah Teter

Hannah Lee Teter ( born January 27, 1987 in Belmont, Vermont) is an American snowboarder.

Career

Teter comes from a snowboarder family and grew as their brethren with the sport. Her brother Amen Teter acts as a coach and manager, and accompanied them with the rest of her family to almost any competition.

In 2004 she won the Winter X Superpipe and the U.S. Overall Grand Prix in the halfpipe. In 2005 she won the FIS World Cup Halfpipe and won bronze in the Snowboard World Cup 2005. Besides, she was in the Hollywood film First Descent to see. At the Olympic Winter Games 2006 in Turin Teter won the gold medal in the halfpipe competition. She is also a successful halfpipe rider on the TTR World Snowboard Tour, at the 2008 Australian Open she won, among others, and the season finished at World No. 36 despite fewer results. At the Olympic Winter Games 2010 in Vancouver Teter could not defend her title in the halfpipe competition and won silver. Four years later at the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, they finished fourth.
