Kelly Clark

Kelly Clark ( born July 26, 1983 in Newport, Rhode Iceland ) is an American professional snowboarder and Olympic gold medalist of the Olympic Winter Games 2002.

Private

Kelly Clark is the daughter of Cathy and Terry Clark and the sister of Tim Clark. During her high school years Clark played mainly tennis and football. Before she moved to snowboarding, it already enthusiastic about for skiing. In summer, when Clark not trained for competitions, it is often encountered in surfing.

Career

Kelly Clark is part of a new wave of halfpipe rider, which greatly increase the level in the amount and difficulty of the tricks. At the age of 16 years In 1999 she was admitted to the Burton team to train with the entire U.S. team. At the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City Clark won the gold medal in the halfpipe competition. Four years later, she reached the fourth place in Bardonecchia at the Olympic Winter Games in 2006. At the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver in 2010, she won the bronze medal in the halfpipe.

On the TTR World Snowboard Tour Clark is also a regular participant in the half-pipe event. My greatest success so far on the tour she celebrated in the 2008/09 season, they finished as the Swatch TTR World Tour Champion. Throughout her career, on the TTR Tour Clark was able to enter many victories, including the 6Star Burton European Open, the 6Star Roxy Chicken Jam, the 5Star Burton New Zealand Open and the 6Star Burton U.S. Open.
