Hanvec

Hanvec ( Hañveg Breton ) is a commune in the Finistère department of Brittany in the west with 1959 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011).

Location

The community is located approximately 6 kilometers (km ) east of the Atlantic coast near the Bay of Brest. It is located in the Regional Natural Park Armorica. Brest is situated 25 km north-west, Quimper 36 km south of Paris and about 480 kilometers east (all figures in a straight line ).

Infrastructure

The municipality has an exit on the highway E 60 (Brest -Nantes ) and in Landerneau there is another on the E 50 (Brest - Rennes). In Landerneau is a regional railway station on the railway line Brest- Rennes -Brest and Nantes. The train station of Brest is the end of TGV Atlantique to Paris. Close to the capital city of Brest is the regional airport Aéroport de Brest Bretagne.
