Hara Toratane
Hara Toratane (Japanese原 虎 胤; * 1497, † 1564) was a samurai of the Sengoku period. He became known as one of the " 24 generals ." He received the title of " Mino no Kami ". His family was before the entry into service of the Takeda, a vassal family of Shimousa ( clan ) of the province Shimousa. He made a great contribution to the victory over Fukushima Masashige 1521 and received the reputation of being one of the ablest generals Takeda. Interestingly, he deserted briefly in 1553 and joined temporarily the Hōjō Later on, when he could be persuaded even a short time later to return. He was especially active in the battles for the province of Shinano, and died of the wounds he wore them at the Battle of Warikadake 1561. He is known to have to have been no less than 53 times wounded and beaten over 30 battles. Ironically, went his fief and its title, Mino no Kami, with his death at Baba Nobuharu, who had been as famous, ever having been injured in any of his 21 battles.
