Haravilliers

Haravilliers is a commune with 548 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Val- d'Oise of the Ile- de -France region; it belongs to Arrondissement Pontoise on the Canton and Marines. The residents' Haravillois "or" Haravilloises " call themselves.

Geography

The community Haravilliers, located 40 kilometers north- west of Paris. It is located in the Regional Natural Park Vexin français.

Neighboring communities of Haravilliers are Neuilly -en- Vexin in the West, Chavençon the northwest, Neuville -Bosc in the North, Berville in the northeast, Arronville in the east, in the southeast Theuville, Bréançon in the south and Le Heaulme in the southwest.

History

Findings from the history testify to an early settlement on the territory of Haravilliers. From the Gallo- Roman period, a pottery place was found.

In 1099 the place is called as Haradvilerio. His great church served as the early Church and the surrounding hamlets.
