Nucourt
Nucourt is a commune with 722 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Val- d'Oise of the Ile- de -France region; it belongs to Arrondissement Pontoise and Canton Marines. The inhabitants " Nucourtois " or " Nucourtoises " call themselves.
Geography
The community Nucourt located 48 kilometers north-west of Paris. It is located in the Regional Natural Park Vexin français.
Neighboring communities of Nucourt are Magny -en- Vexin in the West, Serans in the northwest, Hadancourt -le-Haut - Clocher in the north, Bouconvillers and Lierville in the northeast, Chars in the east, Le Bellay -en- Vexin in the southeast and Clery -en- Vexin in the south.
History
Gallo - Roman remains bear witness to an early settlement of the place. Nucourt was first mentioned in 832 in a document of the Abbey of Saint- Denis.
When Allied bombing raids during the Second World War on a bearing of V1 Nucourt was destroyed in 1944 to 80 percent.
