Harold Cagle

Harold Cagle ( Harold D. Cagle, born August 3, 1913 in Purcell, Oklahoma; † 28 November 1977, in Sutter, California ) was an American sprinter who competed mainly in the 400 -meter run.

When U.S. eliminator for the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin, he was indeed only sixth, but still came to a use in the 4 x 400 - meter relay, as the team manager, the relay together exhibited runners who had not taken up in the individual competition. Together with Robert Young, Edward O'Brien and Alfred Fitch, he won in 3:11,0 min behind the British relay silver medal.

His personal best time over 440 yards he put at 46.5 s on June 19, 1936 in Chicago.
