Hasan Saka

Hasan Saka Hüsnü (* 1885 in Trabzon, † 29 July 1960 in İstanbul ) was a Turkish politician.

The Military Middle School ( Asker Rüştiyesi ) and high school ( Mülkiye İdadisi ) completed Saka in Trabzon. After he graduated from the Mercan - school in İstanbul. In 1908 he graduated from the School of Administration. He then worked on the top Court ( Divan -ı Muhasebat ). In 1909 he was sent by the government to study in France. In 1912 he graduated from the Institut d' études politiques de Paris and began working in the Court again. In April 1915 he was summoned to the Ministry of Finance and was a member of an audit committee. In October 1916 Saka was appointed Regional Director of Economics for Eskişehir. On September 4, 1918, he began working at the School of Administration as a business teacher. Saka was elected to the last Ottoman parliament as a deputy for the province of Trabzon.

On January 28, 1921 Saka was elected to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey as representative of the province of Trabzon. On 19 May 1921 he represented the Finance Minister until April 22, 1922. On May 11, he was elected to the representative economy minister. He was Professor of Economics at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Ankara.

Saka was in the VI, VII and VIII of the legislature deputy of the province of Trabzon. On 13 September 1944 he was appointed to the II.Saraçoğlu government as foreign minister. In the Peker government, he was also Secretary to the resolution of the Cabinet on 9 September 1947. September 10, 1947, he was appointed Prime Minister. On June 10, 1948, he founded his second cabinet, and on 9 January 1949, he retired as Prime Minister. After that, he was leader of the CHP. In the IX. Parliament, he was the last time a deputy for the province of Trabzon. After the elections of 1954 he retired from politics.

His grave is located at Zincirlikuyu Cemetery.
