Hasanwayhids

The Hasanwayhiden ( حسنويون Hasnawīyūn ) were a Kurdish dynasty who ruled in the 10th and 11th centuries in the border area of present-day Iraq and Iran.

It was founded in 950 AD in Jibal ( the Muslim name of the region former media) of the Kurds Hasanwaih, who came from the Eşiret the Barzikani. He was an ally of the Buyids and was able to expand its territory to neighboring Kurdish tribes. The dominion extended over time from the cities Shah Razor, Dinawar, Hamadan and Nahavad. Its capital was the city Sermac. At times, the Hasanwayhiden were under the suzerainty of the Buyids. During the reign of the dynasty in 980 Bedir can expand their areas up to Ahwaz in Khuzestan, Borudscherd in Lorestan and Asadābād. Later, the Hasanwayhiden came in the year 1000 with the neighboring Annaziden in conflict. 1014 conquered the Annaziden the field of Hasanwayhiden. The dynasty broke up after the death of the last ruler in 1121.
