Hatten

Hatten is a municipality in the district of Oldenburg with about 13,500 inhabitants.

Location

Were located on the northwest edge of the natural park Geest from Oldenburg city edge to about 15 km (air line ) southeast of Oldenburg and spreads with its hamlets that lie partly within or outside of the natural park, east of the Osenberge from. In addition, Hatten has its own golf course.

History

Had or Had church was mentioned as " Hathor " for the first time in 860 in a document.

" Hathor " is derived from the Old German Hathus or Hadu. The meaning of which is translated as " war, god of war, happiness and happy fighters."
