The Havelbus traffic mbH Potsdam (HVG ) is the largest transport company in the state of Brandenburg. It was founded on July 1, 1992, when the regional traffic from the VIP was separated. With 445 employees and about 198 buses it carries about 17 million passengers annually. Over 46,000 students and trainees are transported from the HVG daily. Since 2010, the ticket purchase with the debit card is possible in the buses. This also applies to monthly and weekly tickets. End of 2010, the redesigned TKS network ( Teltow- Kleinmachnow Stahnsdorf ) was put into operation. It includes the 10-minute bus service from T / K / S to Potsdam by the X1 and 601 as well as the very good internal connectivity within the TKS network. Altogether now operate 15 -day and 2 night lines by Teltow, Stahnsdorf and Kleinmachnow.

In 2012, the Havelbus Society is celebrating its 20th anniversary and surprised their passengers repeatedly with small gifts.

Havelbus offers to many regional events transfer services like every year for the blossoming season in Werder with a 20 -minute clock ( on the weekends ) between Werder and Potsdam, a transfer to the rock festival "Rock in Caputh " or separate bus rides to adventure farm in Klaistow. In addition Havelbus has a large tourism department.
