Hear My Song

Hear My Song ( German Alternative title: Hear My Song - A dream come true) is a 1990 to 1991 resulting film comedy by British director and screenwriter Peter Chelsom. It is based on an authentic life story of Irish tenor Josef " Joe" Locke ( 1917-1999 ).

Action

Liverpool, in the early 1980s: the vaudeville manager Micky O'Neill wants to convince his backers from continuing to keep the over-indebted Music Hall Theater " Heartly 's " about water, by promising them a very special Artist: Joe Locke, the legendary Irish tenor, the submerged since a tax affair 25 years ago and has since entered no stage and no one knows quite know where he is and whether he is still alive, to celebrate his comeback in " Heartly 's". Production Notes

Hear My Song started in German cinemas on 13 August 1992. He was, Ireland turned off within six weeks in County Clare. The production amounted to nearly two million pounds sterling. For his portrayal of Joe Locke Ned Beatty in 1992, nominated for a Golden Globe.
