Heike Hustede (1966 )

Heike Hustede, after marriage nail, ( born January 16, 1946 in Osnabrück ) is a German former swimmer, who began her career at VfL Osnabrueck and later continued at DSW 1912 Darmstadt.

Career

The 1.70 -meter swimmer just won from 1963 to 1972 a total of 30 German league titles on individual routes and club seasons. In its special discipline dolphin was about 100 meters from 1963 to 1966 four times in a row and then again in 1968 champion. In 1970, she received the Sports badge of Hessen. After her marriage she became the Heike nail from 1970 to 1972 three more tracks on their special way. About 200 meters butterfly Championships were first held in 1967, where she won in 1968, 1971 and 1972. Moreover, it was 1965 champion in the 400 meters individual medley.

Heike Hustede took part in three Olympic Games. 1964 in Tokyo, she was in 1:08,5 minutes sixth in the 100 meters butterfly, with the medley relay was disqualified in the final. She finished sixth in 1:06,9 minutes on the 100 meter track in 1968. About 200 meters she finished fifth in 2:27,9 minutes. In the medley relay Angelika Kraus, Uta From Mater, Heike Hustede and Heidemarie Reineck won bronze in 4:36,4 minutes behind the squadrons from the U.S. and Australia. In 1972, she retired in the 100 meters butterfly in semis; Gudrun Beckmann reached the final, Beckmann was allowed to compete in the medley relay.

Her biggest success outside the squadron reached Heike Hustede at the 1966 European Swimming Championships in Utrecht. In total German record time of 1:06,3 minutes she won the 100m butterfly silver behind the Dutch Ada Kok.

For her contribution to the sport in Lower Saxony, she was accepted into the gallery of honor of Lower Saxony Sports of the Lower Saxony Institute for Sports History.
