Heidemarie Reineck

Heidemarie Reineck (* February 15, 1952 in Berlin ) is a German former swimmer who competed for the Federal Republic of Germany. She won medals at Olympic Games and World and European Championships.

Career

Heidemarie Reineck launched for the SV Bayreuth. In 1967, she became German Vice Champion in the 100 meters butterfly. In 1968, she then won at the German Swimming Championships title in the 100 meters, 200 -meter freestyle and 400 meter freestyle. At the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City could not qualify for a single final. But with the 4 100-meter medley relay in the cast Angelika Kraus, Uta From Mater, Heike Hustede and Heidemarie Reineck she won the bronze medal behind the USA and Australia. 1969, 1970 and 1971 won each Reineck the German championship title in the 100 meters freestyle, 1970, the 200 meters freestyle. In 1970, she won the medley relay bronze medal at the European Championships in Barcelona.

1972 lost Reineck at the German Championship against Jutta Weber. At the Olympic Games in Munich in 1972 Weber failed just over 100 meters in the intermediate run, while Reineck reached the final and was in fifth 00:59,73 minutes.
