Helene Kirkegaard

Helene Kirkegaard ( born May 5, 1971 in Præstevang, Hillerød ) is a former Danish badminton player.

Career

Helene Kirkegaard won 1994 U.S. Open, the Canadian Open, the Irish Open and the Portugal international. A year later she won bronze at the World Championships in mixed doubles with Jens Eriksen and bronze in doubles with Rikke Olsen. At the Olympics 2000, the two ladies were fifth after 1996 already in fourth place was blown. In the Badminton Senior World Championship 2009 age group O35 she won gold.
