Hendrik Jan Davids

Hendrik Jan Davids ( born January 30, 1969 in De Bilt ) is a former Dutch tennis player.

Life

David was a professional tennis player in 1988. In the individual he was not very successful. He could not win a title on the ATP World Tour during his career, but on the ATP Challenger Tour he succeeded in 1994 by the final against Martin Sinner win the tournament in Malta. Considerably more successful he was against it in double, where he won seven titles. He also was a further twelve times in a double finals, including the 1994 ATP Championship Series tournament in Milan. Its highest listing in the tennis world ranking he reached in 1996 with position 171 in single and in 1994 with position 26 in doubles.

His best individual result at a Grand Slam tournament was the Erstrundenteilnahme at Wimbledon in 1997. In this same single item acquisition he lost in three sets to smooth Neville Godwin. In the doubles competition, he reached the second round of the Australian Open in 1994, the quarter-finals of the French Open in 1993, the second round of Wimbledon in 1993 and the quarterfinals of the U.S. Open 1996. Alongside Miriam Oremans he was also in 1997 in the quarterfinals of the mixed competition, the U.S. Open.
