Laurie Warder

Laurie Warder ( born October 23, 1962 in Sydney ) is an Australian former tennis player.

Life

Warder was a professional tennis player in 1982 and reached the following year on the side of David Graham the doubles final of the ATP tournament in Auckland. In 1984, he won his first doubles title with Graham, the year after they won in Florence. In total he won during his career twelve ATP doubles titles, eight of them with Mark Kratzmann, including the Masters tournament in Monte Carlo. A further 18 times he stood in a double finals. Its highest listing in the tennis world ranking he reached in 1987 with position 210 in singles, and in 1991 with position 12 in doubles.

His best individual result at a Grand Slam tournament was reaching the second round of the Australian Open in 1982 and 1985. 's Doubles competition he won in 1993 on the side of Danie Visser the Australian Open with a final victory against John Fitzgerald and Anders Järryd.

Warder is married and has three children. It operates on the end of his professional career as an assistant coach at Arizona State University.
