Henri Garcin

Henri Garcin ( born April 11, 1929 in Antwerp, Belgium; actually Anton Albers ) is a French stage and film actor of Dutch origin.

Life

Henri Garcin was born in 1929 when Anton Albers in Antwerp. At the age of 22 he went to Paris, where he trained at the Cours Simon the actor. He first tried his hand as a cabaret artist and so learned Jacques Brel and Serge Gainsbourg know. Then he turned to the theater. In 1956, he first stood in front of the film camera. In the film comedy lives in the castle (La Vie de château ), he joined in 1966 as a French resistance fighter on the side of Catherine Deneuve and Philippe Noiret. In 1974, an appearance in The Wild Sheep (Le Mouton enragé ) alongside Jean- Louis Trintignant and Romy Schneider. In 1981, he played the husband of Fanny Ardant in François Truffaut's film drama The Woman Next Door (La Femme d' à côté ).

Garcin also speaks fluent Dutch in addition to French. He appeared several times in films of the Dutch director Alex van Warmerdam, including ( noord Erlingen De, 1992) Noord Erlinger and The Mysterious Dress ( De jurk, 1996). Over the years, he came in over a hundred films mostly as a supporting actor for use. Between 1965 and 1995, he starred in numerous plays, including Shaw, Pirandello, Oscar Wilde. He was nominated for the dit Molière, the most important French Theatre Award for Best Supporting Actor in Entre nous soit 1989. Henri Garcin lives in Paris and has a daughter.
