Henri Laaksonen

Henri Joona Julius Laaksonen ( born March 31, 1992, Lohja, Finland ) is a Finnish -Swiss tennis player.

Junior time

Laaksonen began playing tennis at the age of three. At the age of 16, he won the U-16 European Championship in Moscow. In 2009, at age 17, he reached the semifinals, where he lost to the Swede Daniel Berta in two sets in each of the junior French Open.

Career

In 2009 he was invited from Finland for a Davis Cup tie. In the game against the Monegasque Davis Cup team Laaksonen won his match against Clement Morel in five sets and celebrated his first victory on the ATP World Tour. In 2012 he was first summoned by the Swiss Davis Cup team. In relegation match against the Netherlands, but was ultimately not used. Initially November 2012 reached Henri Laaksonen for the second time to Tampere (Finland ) in Geneva ( Switzerland ), a semi-final at an ATP Challenger tournament. This success earned him 35 ATP points, which is the highest ever recorded score meant. In the first round of the Davis Cup 2013 Laaksonen lost his first match against Tomáš Berdych from the defending champion Czech Republic in four sets.
