Switzerland Davis Cup team
The Swiss Davis Cup team is the national team of Switzerland Tennis, which represents the country in the Davis Cup. The Davis Cup is the most important competition for national teams in men's tennis, similar to the Fed Cup for the women.
History
Switzerland is taking part in the Davis Cup since 1923. The greatest success of the country celebrated in 1992, when the team led by Olympic gold medalist Marc Rosset and Jakob Hlasek reached the final. Most appearances in the Swiss Davis Cup team has Heinz Günthardt. The most successful player with 49 victories Jakob Hlasek.
