Herb Mitchell (actor)

Herbert L. Mitchell Junior ( born June 18, 1937 in Bar Harbor, Maine; † January 4, 2011 in Blue Hill, Maine ) was an American actor.

Life

Herbert L. Mitchell Jr. was the son of Herbert L. Mitchell, Sr. and his wife Estella Mae Bourgeois Mitchell. He grew up in Bar Harbor and studied at the University of Maine and the Maine Maritime Academy. He then became a stockbroker in Bangor, Maine. From the end of the 196er years he played in local theater groups and got an offer on the 1971 Off-Broadway in New York City to play. However, he declined in favor of his secure job and his family. Yet he continued playing at the theater. Mid-1970s, he was co-owner of a jazz club, and played sporadically theater in Southern California. From there, he subsequently received his first television and movie offers. With the television movie Pray TV - The mission of God Mitchell debuted in 1982 as a film actor.

On January 4, 2011 Mitchell died at the age of 73 years. The early 2000s, he became ill with cancer three times, which is why he ended his acting career and returned from Los Angeles to his home. He was married twice in his life, leaving behind five children.
